Zion Cemeteries
This cemetery is located approximately 7 miles northeast of Simpson, Illinois. It is on a gravel road known as the Trigg Tower Road. It is in T11S, R5E, Section 30. Across the road from the old cemetery is New Zion Methodist Church (est. 1854) and New Zion Cemetery.
These cemeteries are inventoried from east to west, north to south. It was very hard to line in rows and perhaps error were made in the way the graves are rowed. The markers were very hard to read and many are in bad shape. There are probably, at least, 100 graves with no markers.
