Last Will and Testament of Johann Friedrich Niekamp
in Pope County Will Record Vol. A (pp. 147-8)
I John Frederick Neacamp [sic] of Pope County Illinois being of
sound mind and memory and of lawful age and being
a widower, do hereby make, ordain and declare and publish
this my last will and testament in the manner following
to wit:
First: I want all my just debts paid.
Second: I give and devise my homeplace consisting
of one hundred and ninty acres more or less to
Charley Neacamp my son, his heirs and assigns
forever, being the NW1/4 NE1/4, SW1/4 NE1/4, N1/2 SE1/4 and
SE1/4 NE1/4 except ten acres sold John Forman on
the north, all in Section Four Township Fifteen South
Range Six East in Pope County Illinois.
Third: I give and devise the place I bought of William
Watson consisting of 149 acres more or less to Caroline
Wiedeman my daughter her heirs and assigns forever
being in Pope County Illinois to wit SE1/4 SW1/4 South Part
NE1/4 SW1/4 14 acres Part N1/2 SE1/4 64 acres SW1/4 SE1/4
all in Section Thirty Three Township Fourteen S.R. Six East.
Fourth: I give and devise to my son William Neacamp
the sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200) to be paid by
my said daughter Caroline Wiedeman and the land
herein devised to her to be charged with the payment
of said sum.
Fifth: I give and devise to my grandchild Frederick
Niemeyer One Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($150) to be
paid by my said son Charles Neacamp and the
land herein devised to him to be charged with
the payment of said sum.
Sixth: All the personal property and moneys belonging
to me at my death to be divided equally between my
children Charley Neacamp, William Neacamp and Caroline
Wiedeman. The said bequest of $200.00 to William
and $150.00 to Frederick not to come out of my perso-
nal estate and moneys but to be paid, as stated above.
Seventh: I hereby appoint John Forman executor of the my [sic]
will and require no bond from him.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed my seal this November 28th An 1885.

The forgoing instrument was at the date thereof signed,
sealed, published and declared by the said John Frederick
Neacamp as and for his last will and testament in
presence of us who at his request and in his presence
and in the presence of each other have subscribed our
names as witnesses thereto and we believed the testator
to be of sound mind and memory at the time of
signing said will.
